The Lore of The Illustrious

Across the infinite stars exist the 5 kingdoms born from the cataclysm of the first spark. It was a phenomenon unlike any other that breathed life into the atoms and void of the endless sea of space and time. Civilizations flung themselves from the mud and ash, gasping for life—every speck of existence bidding for their world’s unclaimed throne. The first spark; an event of indifferent proportions giving birth to life already branded by a will to power so insidious that prosperity fell before it ever began. Time, however, forges century-long paths of lesser beings struggling to wipe the dirt from their lips. The realms forged from the spark brought dunes and lush groves—arid skies and harsh water; however, the lesser beings followed the paths paved for them by time.

It was from this evolutionary war that the 5 kingdoms were born. They stole the lives of many, and buried the history and culture of that many more all in the name of their empires. Each kingdom had its variant of despot: The Kingdom of Draconia, ruled by the 3 False Gods; Celestia, governed by the avarice of the clan of oracles; Apocrypha Rey, under the iron fist of a cult as old as written language—The Holy Order of JaSho; Netherwhere, called to kneel before the dead deity, Uinervia; and Dotraxia under the grip of the Dio Umbra Aristocracy. Each kingdom was poisoned by their thrones, and each was as necrotic to their world as the last. But the spark breathed life into this world—and life, even amongst the dying, finds its own way.
Introduction to Amethyst
Raised on the outskirts of the Nether where Amethyst was orphaned after the dead deity Uinervia fed on the flesh of her family in an attempt to trap the deity in the void dimension. She managed to escape with the aid of a priest to Uinervia—a co-conspirator, and friend to her parents. After such loss she was found collapsed on the edge of the Lavender Quarry, a civilization thought to be lost to history under the dead deity’s reign. A sword master found her emaciated body at their borders and took her in. As Amethyst grew, she learned the ways of the sword master and vowed to one day slay Uinervia and liberate Netherwhere. The sword master forbade this. That is until Amethyst took her sword against them and spared their life. After that, the sword master could no longer stand in the way of her
ambitions.
