Raised on the outskirts of the Netherwhere, Amethyst was orphaned after the dead deity Uinervia fed on the flesh of her family after an attempt to trap the deity in the void dimension. She managed to escape with the aide of a priest to Uinervia—a co-conspirator, and friend to her parents. After such loss she was found collapsed on the edge of the Lavender Quarry, a civilization thought to be lost to history under the dead deity’s reign. A sword master found her emaciated body at their borders and took her in. As Amethyst grew, she learned the ways of the sword master and vowed to one day slay Uinervia and liberate Netherwhere. The sword master forbade this. That is until Amethyst took up her sword against them and spared their life. After that, the sword master could no longer stand in the way of her ambitions.
